Rug shapes

Rounded rugs for rounder rooms.

Hotel furniture is getting rounder: curved sofas, round lounge chairs, oval tables, soft edges everywhere. A rug with sharp corners sits against that. Our shape library gives every ligea rug a rounded outline, drawn from one exact template per shape and size.

Three corner radii, the stadium, the oval, the circle, the classic rectangle and three free-form pebbles. Each one is parametric: width and length give the outline, and for rounded corners the radius. Every library shape comes at no extra cost.

Rounded corners

Standard cornersRounded corners, radius 1/8 of the shorter side. Our main shape.
Soft cornersGently rounded corners, radius 1/16 of the shorter side.
Organic cornersGenerously rounded corners, radius 1/5 of the shorter side.

Classic geometry

StadiumStraight long sides, the short ends a full half circle.
OvalA true ellipse.
RoundA circle.
RectangleStraight edges, square corners.

Free-form

Pebble RiverA flat river stone, one side almost straight.
Pebble LagoonAsymmetric, one end wide and round, the other narrower.
Pebble LeafA leaf, softly tapering to both ends.

The radius grows with the rug.

A fixed radius makes a small rug look oval and a large one look heavy. We calculate the corner from the shorter side and round it to 5 cm, within set limits per level.

  • Soft corners radius 1/16 of the shorter side, 10 to 25 cm
  • Standard corners radius 1/8 of the shorter side, 15 to 50 cm
  • Organic corners radius 1/5 of the shorter side, 25 to 80 cm

Round in diameters from 150 to 400 cm. Stadium, oval, rectangle and the three pebbles in the same formats. Every shape also in your own size: the same rule sets the radius.
